What are the Leadership Recognition awards?
The NHS Leadership Recognition Awards celebrate leaders at all levels and across all professions, those NHS staff who have ultimately improved people’s health and the public’s experience of the NHS, and who we are truly proud to work alongside.

Who is eligible to be nominated?
Anybody who works in the NHS or provides government funded care from all disciplines.
How do I nominate myself or a colleague?
All submissions are done through an online submission form. Please click here to complete the online submission form.
What is the deadline for nominations to be completed by?
All entries must be submitted by Friday 16th December 2016.

I want to nominate a team – what size of team can you nominate for the awards?
Teams eligible for nomination can be of varying sizes.
Will nominees be notified of their nominations?
Yes, we will notify all nominees of their nominations.
Can an individual win more than one award?
Yes.
When will shortlisting taken place?
Judging for all awards will take place in January 2017.
How will I know if I have been shortlisted?
Thames Valley and Wessex Leadership Academy will inform all those nominated of the outcome, in early February.
Who will be on the judging panel?
The judging panel will comprise of a diverse group of NHS staff, people that are linked to the health service and representatives of patient forums.
What happens if a judge is nominated for an award? Would he/she abstain from the selection process? Would his/her nomination influence the final decision?
If a judge is nominated, they will not be involved in the judging process.
If an individual is nominated for a specific award, will he/she automatically be selected as the winner of that award?
To ensure the quality and integrity of the recognition awards, the winner(s) of each award will only be selected if they meet the criteria for the category that they have been nominated for.
When will winners be notified? When and where will the awards ceremonies take place?
Winners of each award will be announced at the regional awards ceremony which is being held on Thursday 2nd March 2017 at Wokefield Park, Berkshire, RG7 3AE.
